Event Description

This 16-hour course is required within 90 days of employment as a security guard. HOWEVER, you can take the course as soon as you have begun the application process. It provides the student with detailed information on the duties and responsibilities of a security officer. Topics covered include the roles of a security officer, legal powers and limitations, emergencies, communications and public relations, access control, ethics and conduct, incident command system, and terrorism. **The passing of an examination is required for successful completion of this course. This program is approved by the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services Program Cost: $100 Payment due on day of class in CASH Please bring a government-issued photo ID to class.
